A DEBATING SOCIETY FOR CURRENT AFFAIRS, POLITICS and A SOCIETY TO ENCOURAGE FREE SPEECH.

'The Birkenhead Society was primarily conceived to encourage open-debate about modern Britain and to promote British values, British life, culture and politics. It was thought that an arena where members could talk freely, without fear of censure or the fettering of political correctness may foster open-mindedness and stimulate vigorous intellectual debate. The Society aspires to the highest standards of moral values and gentlemanly conduct within a theatre of aggressive debate and discussion. The Society conducts itself within a social and congenial atmosphere with a strong patriotic spirit'.
